Nice suprises in a pack of 8!

1. Locked My focus is caught a couple of seconds into the first track, and even if I expected a more uptempo start this tracks add something else. A classical Faith no more-"increase of speed" welcomes the chorus wich makes this track just what I wanted, nothing more, nothing less... This track is a little bit short (1:58) and maybe it is shorten for this teaseer but it is still a superb start.

2. Candy smile is both enternaining and a nice sing-a-long experience. According to the previous release of this track this one seams to be more "arranged" with soundpatterns and echoes. Of course it gives sense to complete the picture of making it a part of a whole album, but I personally liked the "peeled" more rough version better. (even if I've sworn about how to order the E.P on the web). Candy smile is of very good commercial class and a E.P-track by nature...

3. Sospecha de tu Muerte is a journey in true Peeping Tom-breath that adds a nice piece of break up in it's short terms... Maybe this type of tracks is the reason why the connections to the Patton-sound is more present than genuine, I don't know... but it's still time worth spending.

4. One Single Bite This one makes it as my favourite on this promo. A strong keyboard, a chaotic noizy background feeds like a headache together with a very good fluctuated vocal performace. Maybe the production could have been more rough, it seems to be a little to "kind". Still this kind of tracks brings my focus just because of it's complexity in finding it's own way without giving the listener the possibility to predict what's around the corner...

5. Quaere The vocals on this track brings my mind back from Holland to Sweden to a track recorded by KSMB. The feeding vocals together with a great piece of keyboard-art creates a frame wich could been fitted on Faith no mores album Album of the year... And through this track I keep comming back to compare Terry Bogus with what I think is a logical extension to the FNM sound. Maybe thats the curse of beeing an excellent FNM-cover act along with making things happen on their own... I don't know but still I like this one alot!

6. Running Home I really don't know what to think about this one. It's not a masterpiece and it's not a bad one. The bass hooks me in and in this track I get the more rough production I wished for. But when the chorus reaches my speakers I get a creepy touch of hip-up-to-date american nu-metal, wich makes me a little confused. Maybe this is a typical "struggle in different directions" wich every band should have on their first release.

7. Today Is The Day A hissing sound introduce me to the truth that Terry holds alot of secrets to come in the opening line "I got a secret for you"... This one has a typical Nine Inch Nails-distorted keyboard, the noice nailed to the "With theeth"-album, together with a urgent laid back pace that in some way hides the excellent vocals. To me this one adds tree quite long minutes.

8. 54321 throws me into a urban future city, a "hitchhikers guide" to something fascinating. The chorus waltz me out in a psycadelic amusement park wich is alot more fun than a "stand-alone" commercial track. Still 54321 is fetched right between my ears and will do even after the track has faded out. I like this one... and I really like the distorted part exiting the track, that part should have been given some extra more minute or two just to add the extra psycadelic insistent value. In some way this track is an open account of the facts that alot of band tries to give everyone in the production the same amount of "air-time", and maybe thats what the producer pointed out as he close this excellent track with a thunderstruck that also completes the whole production.

Just a few more lines... Don't miss this free download by Terry Bogus if you do you got no one else to blame than yourself... This band will surely leve my wallet with a big hole when their fortcoming albums enters the web-stores. I think the band got it's future pointed out, not in only bringing us a much-appreciated Faith-act (http://www.fakenomore.com/) but with actually rock the shit out of us with an excellent act on their own... By now you must have noticed that I like what I hear from Terry Bogus, so I give the album PPPP out of 5... And it feels like a testimonial a little bit too small as a rate to an excellent act...
Next click on internet takes me to Ran Air so I can visit Amsterdam for a Terry Bogus live performance later this year or maybe during the spring... nice hu?
